Autism is a complex neurobiological disability. It inhibits a child with Autism from communicating appropriately and developing social relationships. Despite the high prevalence of Autism in Africa, the condition remains hidden because of low acceptance. Autistic children are diagnosed late, at the age of eight, when this disability can be diagnosed easily at four. Unfortunately, Autism is kept hidden since parents and governmental bodies don’t want to accept it. The reasons for this lack of acceptance are as follows:

Therefore, through Autism Spectrum Disorder Acceptance (ASD-Accept), we aim to increase Autism acceptance in Africa. Autism acceptance is important so that people can openly discuss their challenges, accept reality, and benefit from solutions available to improve the quality of life of their kids.
